6/22/20207/1/2020Share-Net

In 2013, SNI was commissioned by the Dutch Government to lead the knowledge platform on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR). Share-Net International combines the expertise and strengths of Dutch organizations, Southern partners and key international actors working in the area of SRHR to achieve the SRHR and HIV related Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In addition, the Platform encompasses national knowledge networks in four countries: Bangladesh, Burundi, Jordan and the Netherlands. These networks serve as conduits for situation assessments, defining research priorities, facilitating research participation by country institutions and hosting the local knowledge base/platform. They also stimulate the participation of key international partners and regional and national actors in SRHR

The digital platform will be built on the already existing SNI website and integrate Trainers Lab. This website is currently mainly being used for sharing knowledge, including news and resources in the field of SRHR, call for proposals, vacancies, international events and to promote the work of SNI. In addition to knowledge sharing, the new digital platform aims to strengthen the collaboration between all Share-Net country hubs and their members by facilitating international knowledge exchange as well as matchmaking between the different sets of actors in the SRHR field. The overall objectives of the digital platform, therefore, are

Knowledge sharing, Matchmaking, and Knowledge exchange

6/25/20207/2/2020UNICEF

UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to promote the equal rights of women and girls and to support their full participation in the political, social and economic development of their communities and annually reports on the 17 common Performance Indicators. Programmatically and institutionally, UNICEF’s Gender Action Plan provides the main vehicle for integrating gender equality concerns into its operational processes and policies, guiding the organization’s contributions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Technical expertise provided by consultants and consultancy firms plays a critical role in supporting UNICEF’s work in gender equality, whether it relates to situational analysis, program and strategy design, communications, research and studies or monitoring and evaluations to achieve results for women and girls among other requirements.

UNICEF’s increasing involvement in national and global partnerships and increasing use of multi-sectoral approaches as well as an emphasis on innovation as a strategy to accelerate results, are leading to more demand for technical expertise, particularly through institutional contracts. To respond to the demand UNICEF seeks to establish non-exclusive Long Term Arrangements for Services (LTA) with sector-specialized organizations that maintain up-to-date rosters of gender experts with proven experience, credibility and identifiable skill sets

10/7/202011/20/2020European Commission

The objective of this call for proposals is to pilot a multi-country resource hub, focused on addressing the dynamics (shrinking, opening) of civic, democratic and civil society space. It should support civil society working on human rights and democracy and other actors to steer change towards greater respect for fundamental freedoms, civic engagement and democratic governance and to elicit a more effective development process at the national level.

Dynamics in the shape and scope of civic, democratic and civil society space may include closing or repression, opening, and shifting, as well as irregular patterns with concentrations in certain sectors or segments of civic actors, or alternations of restrictions and openness. Signs of change may include legislative changes, official or de facto policies, patterns of incidents, and evidence of perceived changes in public attitudes, having an impact on the exercise of freedom of association, peaceful assembly or expression, or on civic activism, protest, dissent or political contestation.
