The International Relations Department (IRD) manages the University’s agreements, endowments, academic exchange and study abroad programs, mobility scholarships, and international student and scholar services. It also organizes international events. IRD consists of three divisions.

​The Sponsored Students and Staff department is keen to provide all facilities for outstanding students and researchers in various disciplines and colleges to obtain the highest academic degrees from the most prestigious international universities, and to meet their aspirations on one hand and the academic needs of the university on the other hand, which gives them unique scientific experience, which gives them excellence in their field of specialization, and returns To benefit the level of education at the university, and to improve its methods and the quality of its outputs.

The Externally Funded Projects Department is responsible for managing non-research initiatives that receive external funding. These projects primarily focus on capacity building, higher education development, vocational education and training, and youth engagement.

Key Responsibilities and Objectives:

Networking and Partnerships: The department actively builds relationships with universities, non-profit organizations, and potential funders at local, regional, and global levels. This networking aims to identify new funding opportunities and connect faculty members with potential sources of support.

Project Management: The department oversees the entire lifecycle of externally funded projects, from initial planning and proposal development to implementation, monitoring, and final evaluation.

Funding Opportunity Dissemination: The department identifies and shares information about potential funding sources, helping faculty and staff to identify and pursue opportunities that align with the institution's goals, and it provide support in the proposal development process. This include offering workshops, resources, and guidance on crafting competitive proposals that meet funder requirements.

Project Monitoring and Evaluation: The department regularly monitors project progress to ensure that initiatives remain on track and achieve their intended outcomes.

By focusing on these areas, the Externally Funded Projects Department contributes significantly to the institution's ability to secure and effectively utilize external funding for development and educational initiatives.​

Externally Funded Projects Department oversees non-research projects such as capacity building, higher education development, and education that are funded by an external entity or agency. Our aim is to manage the project life cycle procedures, to provide training for financial project management, to disseminate information about prospective sources of funding, and to monitor their progress.
