The University of Jordan achieved a significant milestone in the August 2025 edition of the Webometrics Ranking, rising from eighth to fifth place in the Arab world, while maintaining its first-place ranking among Jordanian universities. Globally, the university advanced 51 positions, placing it among the top 2% of 31,870 universities ranked in this edition. The ranking, issued by the Cybermetrics Lab of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC), relies on indicators that reflect research impact, researcher excellence, and the universities’ digital presence.
