As part of the University of Jordan’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and quality assurance, the School of Archaeology and Tourism held a coordination meeting to follow up on the preparation of files for international accreditation (FIBAA) for its two undergraduate programs: Archaeology and Cultural Resources Management and Conservation. The meeting focused on aligning the programs with FIBAA standards, discussing the structure and content of the required reports, and reviewing supporting documents to ensure the submission of comprehensive and well-documented accreditation files that reflect the quality and diversity of the learning outcomes. In addition, the school is also awaiting the final result of the international accreditation process for its Tourism Management program, which has been submitted for evaluation by TEDQUAL, the accreditation body affiliated with the World Tourism Organization. The School of Archaeology and Tourism affirms that pursuing international accreditation is a strategic priority, demonstrating its commitment to enhancing the reputation of the University of Jordan locally and globally. These efforts also aim to provide high-quality education that meets labor market needs and keeps pace with scientific and practical advancements in the fields of heritage and tourism.
