The Vice President for Global Rankings and International Accreditation chaired a meeting to follow up on the latest developments in the international accreditation files for several academic programs at the University of Jordan, particularly the Land, Water and Environment Program in the School of Agriculture and the Computer Information Systems Program in the King Abdullah II School of Information Technology. This meeting comes as part of the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and expand the scope of international accreditation. During the meeting, participants reviewed the academic and technical reports of the programs prior to their submission to the relevant accreditation bodies and discussed updated requirements and recommendations. It was noted that the Land, Water and Environment Program is the fifth program in the School of Agriculture being prepared for ABET accreditation, reflecting the school's commitment to applying the highest standards of academic quality. The meeting also reviewed developments in the Computer Information Systems Program, which has been accredited by ABET since 2018, and is currently undergoing curricular updates in response to previous evaluation feedback. The meeting further emphasized that the School of Agriculture is actively working to broaden its accreditation coverage, and is currently studying the inclusion of the Nutrition Program in international accreditation plans, given the increasing importance and strong demand for this discipline in both local and international job markets. These efforts reflect the University of Jordan’s strategic vision for academic excellence and quality assurance in alignment with best global practices in higher education.
