The University of Jordan Achieves a New Milestone in the THE Arab University Rankings 2024

The University of Jordan proudly announced its latest achievement in the THE Arab University Rankings 2024, securing first place nationally and ninth place regionally. This marks an impressive leap of seven spots compared to last year. The top ten list featured five universities from Saudi Arabia, two from the UAE, and one each from Jordan, Qatar, and Egypt. University President, Prof. Nathir Obeidat, expressed his pride in this significant advancement, highlighting that this achievement reflects the university's dedicated efforts to enhance its global standing. He emphasized that this success is the result of the university's strategy, which prioritizes quality and innovation in education, research, and community service. Prof. Obeidat attributed the notable improvement to continuous efforts in enhancing curriculum quality, developing students' communication skills, and fostering professional and soft skills to better prepare them for the job market. He also underscored the university's focus on producing impactful research and improving educational and research environments to promote innovation and creativity. The THE Arab University Rankings, which assessed over 300 universities this year, evaluate institutions based on five key criteria: Quality of Education and Learning Environment Research Output and Quality Research Impact (Citations and Global Influence) International Outlook (Collaboration, Student and Researcher Recruitment) Industry Impact (Partnerships and Applied Research) Prof. Obeidat reaffirmed the university's commitment to improving its performance across all criteria, enhancing its educational and research activities, and empowering students to achieve further progress in global and regional rankings.
