Vice President of the University of Jordan for Global Rankings and International Accreditation Meets the Dean of the School of Educational Sciences and Commends the School's Efforts in Achieving International Accreditation for Its Programs

University of Jordan News (UJA) - Meeting on International Accreditation for the Faculty of Educational Sciences The Vice President for Global Rankings and International Accreditation at the University of Jordan, Dr. Faleh Al-Sawair, met with the Dean of the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Dr. Mohammed Sayel Al-Zyoud, and the team working on the international accreditation of the faculty's programs. Dr. Al-Zyoud welcomed Dr. Al-Sawair and expressed gratitude for the continuous support and follow-up the faculty receives from the university administration, represented by President Dr. Nadhir Obaidat, his deputies, and various university units. He emphasized the importance of this support in making notable progress in the international accreditation file, highlighting that the self-study for the international accreditation of the Graduate Diploma in Teacher Preparation has been completed, with a visit from the American accreditation body scheduled. Dr. Al-Zyoud added that work is ongoing to achieve accreditation for the Special Education and Early Childhood programs and to identify international accrediting institutions for the remaining disciplines within the educational sciences. Dr. Al-Sawair pointed out the significance of international accreditation for the Faculty of Educational Sciences programs, noting that it enhances the quality and high standards of the education provided to students and the Jordanian community. He emphasized the prestigious academic reputation enjoyed by programs and faculties that obtain international accreditations. Dr. Al-Sawair stressed the need to continue meeting the requirements and standards set by international accrediting institutions, which focus on governance and institutionalization in academic work, as well as the ongoing pursuit of development and improvement in academic programs to meet the scientific advancements in the fields offered by the faculty, ensuring alignment with the needs of the job market in educational institutions both locally and globally. He clarified that international accreditation is a comprehensive improvement process that encompasses all aspects of academic and administrative performance within the faculty, enhancing its capacity to provide high-quality education and contribute to the development of the academic community in Jordan and the region. He reaffirmed that commitment to international accreditation standards reflects the university's adherence to the highest standards of quality and academic excellence. Dr. Sahar Abu Helu, Assistant Dean for the Graduate Diploma in Teacher Preparation, along with Dr. Omar Khattab, Director of the Graduate Diploma Program, Dr. Areej Mosa’ada, and Dr. Abdullah Shehab, presented a detailed report on the stages of work and achievements made in the accreditation file of the Graduate Diploma Program, along with completed tasks and future work plans. The presentation included a comprehensive review of the challenges faced by the team and how they were overcome, as well as the future steps to ensure ongoing improvement and development. The meeting featured a rich discussion where Dr. Al-Sawair praised the efforts of the faculty and its teaching staff in achieving quality in processes and outcomes, paving the way for obtaining international accreditation. He assured that the university administration is ready to provide all necessary support to achieve the desired goals, noting that ongoing cooperation and coordination between different faculties and administrations at the university form the essential foundation for achieving success and excellence. Attendees included the international accreditation team from the Faculty of Educational Sciences, Global Rankings Office Director Najoud Al-Dab’ei, and Sumaya Al-Qaisi and Iman Salim from the Vice Dean’s Office for Quality and International Accreditation.
