DAAD Announcement- Summer Schools in Germany 2019
special offer for all in-country and in-region scholarship holders of the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) at Master and PhD level who are currently studying at the University of Jordan.

Following up on the first project cycle 2016-2018, we will be offering six international and interdisciplinary summer schools in Germany in summer 2019, as follows:
·         Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg), June 2019: “Education And Research oriented Training in Health Sciences 2019 (EARTHS)”
·         University of Heidelberg, August 2019: “Enhancing Academic Qualifications in Teaching and Research in Public Health 2019”
·         University of Applied Sciences Cologne (TH Cologne), August 2019: “Data to Decision: Assessment of the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus”
·         University of Frankfurt, September 2019: “Geo Training 2019: Training Programme on Environmental and Remote Sensing Data Analysis via Geospatial Technologies in Research and Teaching”
·         Arnold Bergstraesser Institute (ABI) Freiburg, September 2019: “Contested Governance 2019”
·         University of Leipzig, September 2019: “Project development for knowledge transfer 2019”
Each summer school will last around four weeks, offering the participants the chance to attend a high-quality academic training, network with peers from around the globe and - not least - visit Germany, to experience its culture, history and landscape.

Admission to the summer schools takes place on a competitive basis. Today we sent out the call for applications for the first summer school, held at the HAW Hamburg in June 2019, to all current scholarship holders (please see mail below). The remaining five calls will be distributed in the following weeks. For each summer school,
the students are asked to submit their application directly via the German host university’s registration website.
