: Boosting Innovative Solar Energy Technologies and Applications in Mediterranean Countries Education


  • General objectives: The purpose of this project is to bring together and strengthen the cooperation between enterprises and HEIs, to promote innovation in Solar Energy education, promote climate change prevention and to enhance socio-economic development, through the development of courses about Solar Energy applications, technologies, and solar energy systems implementation and operation with adaptive learning and teaching methods.

  • Specific objectives:
    • Instill the awareness about the possible and economic applications of solar energy, through dissemination activities.
  • Establish university-enterprise cooperation that should be long-term and benefit both parties involved. This is the reason why organization and companies dealing with Solar Energy are involved either as partners or as associates.
  • Empower the engineers and teach them new technologies and applications for Solar Energy exploitation, to be adopted in the Solar Energy relevant organizations and businesses.
  • Establish Solar Energy labs for solar energy experiments.
  • Develop true collaborative efforts with enterprises to provide student support from practical placement, entrepreneurship and employability that should allow graduates to develop capacities that guaranty greater success when joining the labor market.
